A cultural wellness platform
Health that feels like home. Healing rooted in who you are.
"Most wellness brands ask you to optimize yourself. Saha asks you to return to yourself."
The Saha Vision
Who we are
Saha was born from a gap I kept seeing — people who were disconnected from themselves and communities.
As an Iraqi-American Internal Medicine physician, I live at the intersection of two worlds. Saha is the space I'm building where those worlds don't compete — they compound. Where your culture is not an obstacle to your health, but the foundation of it.
This platform exists to build a healthier, more connected world — through genuine conversation, anecdotes, and cultural depth.
Evidence-based medicine made human. Clinical insights without the clinical distance.
Food is memory, ritual, and medicine. Your grandmother's kitchen was a clinic.
The dimension of healing that most platforms leave out. Faith, meaning, rest, belonging.
The majlis as medicine. Shared story as healing. Belonging is a biological necessity.
"Full health isn't just what you eat or how you move — it's your story, your identity, your joy. Saha exists to reconnect us to our roots while building something good for the path forward."
The Saha Mission
Listen & watch
"What made your day?"
A conversation between friends about the moments that made their day brighter — and what they'd like to see more of in the world. Not a wellness show. Not a news show. A genuinely human show about what's good, what's working, and what we need more of across communities.

The cultural wellness show. Food as medicine. Fasting science. Mental health through an Arab lens. The stories medicine doesn't capture — and the ancestral wisdom it hasn't learned from yet. Hosted by a physician who lives in both worlds.

The YouTube channel is where Saha comes alive visually. Long-form conversations with remarkable people — colleagues, healers, chefs, community leaders, everyday humans with extraordinary stories. A glimpse into the medical journey, the building journey, and the lives that inspire both.
The goal isn't to build an audience. It's to document something real and let the right people find it. The wisdom of lived experience, shared with those who come after us.
Communal health.
Reconnecting to your body as home, not a problem to solve.
The science and story behind the foods that shape you.
What restriction teaches us about healing and renewal.
Your cultural inheritance as a health resource, not a burden.
The biology of rest and the rituals that have always known it.
Bringing it all home. Building a practice that's yours.
Early access to the Saha Residency. New episodes. Cultural wellness content. And an honest look at building something meaningful — from the inside.
No noise. No spam. Just Saha — when it matters.
What we believe
The notion that cultural practices must be replaced by modern medicine shuns cultural practices, which may fragment a person's sense of self. The most wholistic health interventions require a multifaceted approach.
The person is made up of mind, body, and spirit. Community and belonging tie all those together to support long-term health.
Small moments of genuine human connection compound. The Bright Spot exists because we believe that naming what's good — and sharing it — invites more of it.
Saha is built on genuine care. Showing up honestly, over time, in service of something real.
When you share your journey honestly — the difficulty, the doubt, the small wins — you give others the precedence to begin theirs. That's why we document everything.
Social connection, purpose, and laughter are powerful factors in life. We're not adding joy to health — we're restoring it to its rightful place at the center of it.
Work with Saha
Saha exists to serve people with a genuine commitment to helping communities live better.
